Description of Treatments

The Hydro Drip Bar provides the following elective wellness services, all administered by licensed Registered Nurses under physician oversight:

IV Hydration Therapy

Intravenous (IV) therapy involves the insertion of a small catheter (IV line) into a vein — typically in the arm or hand — through which a customized solution of sterile saline fluid, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and electrolytes is delivered directly into the bloodstream. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes.

Intramuscular (IM) Vitamin Injections

Vitamin shots are injected directly into muscle tissue (typically the deltoid or gluteal muscle) using a small needle. The injection delivers nutrients such as B12, Biotin, Amino Acids, or Alpha Lipoic Acid. Sessions take approximately 5–10 minutes.

Weight Loss Programs

Our medically supervised weight loss programs utilize GLP-1 receptor agonist medications (Tirzepatide and Retatrutide), which are prescription medications requiring a health intake evaluation by our Medical Director or supervising RN before initiation.

Expected Benefits

Potential benefits of IV therapy and vitamin injections may include:

  • Improved hydration and electrolyte balance
  • Increased energy levels and reduction of fatigue
  • Immune system support
  • Skin brightening and antioxidant support (with Glutathione)
  • Faster recovery from physical exertion or illness
  • Improved mental clarity and focus
  • General wellness support

Individual results vary. No specific outcome or benefit is guaranteed.

Risks and Potential Side Effects

All medical procedures carry some risk. The following risks are associated with IV therapy and vitamin injections:

Common (Minor) Risks

Bruising

Minor bruising at the insertion or injection site is common and typically resolves within a few days.

Soreness

Mild soreness or tenderness at the needle site, particularly with IM injections.

Cooling Sensation

Feeling of coolness along the vein during IV infusion is normal.

Mild Nausea

Occasional mild nausea, particularly if the client has not eaten before treatment.

Uncommon Risks

Phlebitis

Inflammation of the vein at the insertion site. Usually resolves with warm compresses.

Infiltration

IV fluid leaking into surrounding tissue if the catheter becomes dislodged. Treated by discontinuing the drip.

Hematoma

Collection of blood under the skin at the insertion site. Uncommon with proper technique.

Allergic Reaction

Rare but possible reaction to any ingredient in the IV formula. Our staff is trained to respond immediately.

Rare but Serious Risks

  • Severe anaphylactic reaction (rare) — requiring immediate medical response
  • Air embolism — prevented by strict protocols including priming all IV lines
  • Infection at insertion site — minimized through sterile technique
  • Fluid overload — assessed through health history screening (relevant for clients with cardiac or renal conditions)

Alternatives to Treatment

You are under no obligation to receive any treatment. Alternatives to IV therapy and vitamin injections include oral supplementation, dietary changes, increased oral fluid intake, and consultation with a primary care physician or specialist for any underlying health concerns.

Required Client Disclosures

By proceeding with treatment, you confirm that you have accurately disclosed:

  • All current prescription medications and over-the-counter supplements
  • Any known allergies, including to medications, foods, or latex
  • All current and past medical conditions, particularly kidney disease, heart conditions, hypertension, diabetes, or autoimmune disorders
  • Any history of blood clotting disorders or anticoagulant use
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding status
  • Any prior adverse reactions to IV therapy or injections
Failure to disclose accurate health information may increase your risk of adverse effects and releases The Hydro Drip Bar from liability for any resulting complications.

Voluntary Participation & Right to Refuse

Your participation in any treatment at The Hydro Drip Bar is entirely voluntary. You have the right to refuse, discontinue, or modify any treatment at any time without penalty. If you wish to stop a treatment in progress, simply notify the treating nurse and the IV will be removed immediately.

Photography & Media Release

From time to time, we may photograph or video our clinic environment for use in marketing materials, social media, or our website. We will always ask for your explicit verbal or written permission before capturing any images or video that include you as an identifiable individual. You may decline at any time without affecting your access to services.

Additional Consent: Weight Loss Programs

For clients receiving Tirzepatide or Retatrutide weight loss injections, additional disclosures apply:

  • These are prescription medications and require completion of a health intake evaluation
  • Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and decreased appetite, particularly during dose titration
  • These medications are contraindicated in clients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)
  • You agree to report any concerning symptoms promptly and to attend scheduled follow-up check-ins
  • These medications are not recommended during pregnancy and you agree to use effective contraception if applicable

Acknowledgment

By proceeding with treatment at The Hydro Drip Bar — whether in person, by booking an appointment, or by signing our intake form — you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood this Informed Consent document
  • You have had the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered to your satisfaction
  • You voluntarily consent to receive the requested treatment(s)
  • You understand that results are not guaranteed and individual outcomes vary
  • You have disclosed all relevant health information accurately

A separate signed consent form will be required at your first visit and for any new treatment type. Paper and digital versions are available at our clinics.
